A frustrated owner's comments

Two years ago my husband and I bought a blue nosed pitbull from a local breeder. Like any new dog owners (both filled with pride and naviety) we had no clue to the extent of work this particular breed would be. Fast foward two years later and Dublin is now a 75 pound dog, all muscle and love. Any pitbull owner will tell you that being an owner of such a breed is both a curse and a blessing. Firstly, aside from what papers and the news report, pitbulls are the most loving, loyal and family friendly dog out there. Although they are indeed a lot of work, being that they are medium to large sized dogs with lots of energy, if the owner has time to commit to his new dog, pitbulls can be a great addition to a family. Aside from the dirty looks and rude comments spoken by the often ill informed public (aka, the idiots who don't know what they are talking about,) one of the greatest challenges in owning a pitbull or an equally sized dog is the lack of doggie toys available for their enjoyment. Being both a small dog and large dog owner, (I have a chiuahua, which, I might add is the king of the house) I have had plently of experience in purchasing toys. After years of running through multiple toys and spending hundreds of dollars on toys that were deemed "tough toys," or "large breed friendly," I created this blog in an attempt to share my trials and tribulations with other large dog owners. Hopefully, you can avoid wasting your money on the bulls*** that we did and can learn from the toys that actually did work for us. Feel free to leave any comments as to toys that you have experienced worked in your benefit or not.

Love, AP & Dublin.
